I started playing the violin when I was 10 years old and now I just graduated with a degree in music so am teaching violin full time. It’s great because it is a job that lets me move around the city including this area of Kennedy Town and the Western District.
I take the tram when I have time, on days like this it is very comfortable and I like taking in all the sights since I am not as familiar with the area. When I was a kid it was a proper leisure activity coming over to take the “ding ding”, there were much less attractions in those days.
I am always curious to see new areas and new constructions like the Kennedy Town public swimming pool. The architecture is pretty interesting and you can see that from the tram.
Also the tram is such a symbol of Hong Kong, in Japan for example many cities have trams, but the double decker across the whole line is very unique. The best spot is to sit upstairs in the front, you get the view and the breeze.
